JUN 17 -Late evening airport check in for departure to Lima

 

JUN 18 LIMA. Greeting and transfer to hotel. You will visit Lima City Evening Tour and its Colonial area including the Main Square, The Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the San Francisco Monastery.  Visit the Huaca Pucllana, considered as a Pre-Inca worshipping ceremonial center and the modern district. Welcome dinner show.

 

JUN 19 CUZCO. Morning flight to Cuzco and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to stroll the nearby Plaza de Armas, boutiques and shops.

 

JUN 20 – 21  MACHU PICCHU. Morning vista-dome train departure. Minibuses take you up a serpentine road to the Citadel.  Walking tour of the fascinating Lost City of the Incas, with an expert guide. Lunch. Overnight stay at the in the cloudy mountains. Next day you’ll have free wandering in the park, and evening  departure for Urubamba Valley.

 

JUN 22 - 23 URUBAMBA. Full day tour by motor coach into the scenic Urubamba Valley, also known as the sacred valley of the Incas.  Visit the market at PISAC, where you can shop and mingle with hundreds of colorfully dressed Indians who meet to trade goods and socialize.  Lunch at a rustic nearby inn and then continue to visit the ruins of OLLANTAYTAMBO, where MANCO INCA led the last defense against the Spaniards Overnight at Sacred Valley. 

 

JUN 23 CUZCO. Morning return to Cuzco. Afternoon city tour of Colonial Cuzco: Temple of the Sun, Cathedral, Plaza de Armas and other important landmarks, including KKENKO, PUCAPUCARA TAMBO NACHAY. 

 

JUN 24 – CUZCO  - INTI RAYMI OR SUN FESTIVAL *

Full day at the INTI RAYMI FESTIVAL, which will take place in the great stone fortress of SACSAYHUAMAN.  Participate in the day long festivities in honor of GOD SUN. Great concerts, choruses, parades and folk dances by Indians in native costumes. Lunch included.  * It takes about 06 hours.

 

JUN 25 CUZCO. Day at leisure for last minute shopping and optional tours if desired.

 

JUN 26 CUZCO / LIMA/ US.  Morning departure to the airport. Arrival in Lima, on time to board the return flight home.

 

JUN 27  Early morning arrival in the US
